ASK Olympiakos Volos was formed in 2004 when two local clubs, Ethnikos Olympiakos Volos F.C. and AS Kasandra, merged. The first name of the team was Kassandra Olympiakos AS.
In 24 June 2008 Ethnikos Olympiakos Volou with A.S.K. Olympiakos merged their names and they formed a common team named Olympiakos Volou. The team of ASK merged with Doxa Drama F.C..
